Hi!

Thanks! The length is about 46-47cm (together with the tender), I guess around 50cm together with the tracks beneath it. I don't remember the height and width, but if you really need it, I'll measure it.

I've measured it. Height is 6.3 cm, width is 3.5 cm.

No problem. If you need advice on assembling the kit, just let me know. Also, if you find a solution for displaying the locomotive in a case or something, please tell me about it. I haven't found a good solution until now.

I'm glad my tips are actually useful for other persons too. You shouldn't be so stressed about the painting, applying the decals is the really tough job...

does the track come with it?

Yepp, the track comes with it, but it too needs to be painted :)

Really impressive! I love Revell Model Kits since I was a kid. I mainly focus on airplanes but this locomotive looks gorgeous!

Thanks! It's really one of my favorites too. And now that I've managed to put it in a glass box, I'm at peace because the dust is not destroying it.

How big is the headlight in millimeters

I'll measure the headlight as soon as I get a chance (probably not sooner than 2 weeks from now). I estimate it to be around 2mm in diameter.

I believe the parts 10 and 101 that you mentioned go between the cow catcher and the first cylinder just above the first small wheel. I too found that there were two extra parts, but found they fit in this area. The spot looks kinda bare otherwise. After studying some photos of the Big Boy 4023 in Omaha Ne, I decided that they do indeed go there. =]
